Recently, someone commented on my "What I'm thankful for" Facebook post from thanksgiving. When I re-read the post...it brought a smile to my face and I thought I would share it on the blog. My dog means the world to me, and I've posted much about her on my Facebook page. Without further adieux, Bella Girl:
I am Thankful for my Bella because she is my one constant.
I am thankful for her tail that wags when I walk in the door.
I am thankful for her excitement and yearning to load up and hang her head out the window on road trips with me across states or across the town, even if it means curling up for hours while I'm in class...only to greet me with the wagging tail upon my return.
I am thankful for her desire to sleep near my feet, even if it is on a crowded cot.
I am thankful for her wet nose and long whiskers that tickle me awake every morning.
I am thankful that she is a friend to everyone and gives her joy and love away to anyone willing to accept it.
I am thankful that she is strong enough to hold her own when the time comes for it.
I am thankful for the smile that she wears on her face and the countless smiles that she puts on the faces of others.
I am thankful that she Loves me unconditionally when I am broke, when I am sad, when I am angry, when I am wrong, and when I have failed.
I am thankful for the fact that she teaches me how little we need in life to be happy creatures.
I am thankful, that she is my best friend.
